Day trip to the Sofievka state deontological park in Uman, 18th

The Sofiyvka State Dendrological Park was built in 1796 by the Belgian engineer L.Metletz at the request of Count S. Pototsky and named in honour of his wife Sofiya. The Sofiyvka occupies 150 hectares of land on the outskirts of the old city of Uman. It is one of the most beautiful of all memorial parks with the landscapes in the style of the end of the 18th century. In its own unique way, it resembles a gallery of art - created by both man and nature.
