Lvov (Lviv)

Lviv is the capital of the western Ukraine.

This city has always been considered to be the city of intellectuals, professors and students. Long and rich for events history of Lviv imbibed influents of different cultures: Ukrainian, Polish, Austrian…Since the 18th century Lviv, with its hundred thousands of inhabitants, was acknowledged to be the cultural capital of the western Ukraine.

Lviv has its special architectural style. The unique architectural ensemble of the city has being formed for centuries – through the ancient times of the Polish-Lithuanian Principality and the Dual Monarchy. Many of the historical buildings have undergone restoration, but all of them still have their original spirit. In 1998 Lviv was included into the List of The Architectural Heritage under protection of the UNESCO.

 Onore d’Balzak, Nicolo Paganini, Polish kings, Austrian emperors, Swedish king Karl the 12, Russian tzar Petr the First and many other outstanding personalities loved and admired Lviv.

To enjoy your time in Lviv doesn’t mean to visit all the famous sightseeing, you may simply be walking or sitting in one of those comfortable café, drinking coffee and feeling the exciting spirit of the city.

If you visit Lviv just once, you will come back again and again to feel the magic and to have more unforgettable impressions. Lviv is a city-museum, where each street and each building has its own legend and history. Lviv is always open for the guests!
